HURRY – Black Women Students Apply Now for Sedisa Trust Bursaries Before 30 Sept 2025!

The Sedisa Trust helps young black women in South Africa get a better education. Since 2012 they have focused on students who come from poor areas & tough backgrounds. The trust gives money to these women so they can study at universities across South Africa. This support means students don’t have to worry about paying for their education. Instead they can focus on their studies and work toward their dreams. The trust believes that helping these women get degrees will create more opportunities for them. They want to make sure that money problems don’t stop talented students from going to university. This program has already helped many young women start successful careers after finishing their studies.

Who All Can Apply – Eligibility

You need to meet these requirements to get a Sedisa Trust Bursary:

• A black female, as defined by the BBBEE codes.
• A South African citizen.
• Applicant must have a strong academic record.
• Financially disadvantaged and able to demonstrate financial need.
• Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
• Registered to study or intend to study full-time towards a tertiary qualification at a recognized South African institution.
• Should be between age of 16 to 35.

Advantages

The bursary helps students pay for many things. It covers tuition fees books and study materials. Students also get money for housing and food. The bursary takes care of transport costs too. Procedure for Enrollment

1. One must have the following documents to apply for the bursary:

• A certified copy of your South African ID.
• A motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary.
• Proof of registration or an acceptance letter from your tertiary institution.
• A fee statement from your institution.
• A list of estimated study costs (books, residence, etc.).
• Certified copies of your results transcripts or Matric certificate.
• A detailed CV.
• Proof of financial need, such as a financial affidavit or your parents’/guardians’ income statements.

2. Online application must be filed by visiting the official Sedisa Trust website and click on the application link.
3.  Fill out the online application form with all required information.
4.  Attach all the supporting documents as clear, certified copies.
5. Submit your complete application before the deadline.

Selection Procedure

•  Applications are reviewed and a shortlist of candidates is compiled based on the eligibility criteria, academic merit, and financial need.
• Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview with the Sedisa Trust Trustee members.
• Successful candidates will be notified. Applicants who do not receive a response within a certain timeframe should consider their application unsuccessful.
