Eligibility Criteria
These are the basic requirements you need to meet:
General Requirements
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must have completed Matric or be currently in Matric.
- You must be studying or intending to study full-time towards one of the listed Chartered Accountancy qualifications.
- You must have been studied at a SAICA-accredited university.
- You must demonstrate leadership potential, determination, and commitment to success.
- You must have strong English proficiency, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
Academic Requirements by Study Level
Matric students (1st-year entry in 2026):
- Matric exemption with university entrance.
- At least 60% in Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy).
- At least 60% in English.
- Acceptance into a CA-stream qualification for 2026.
1st-year students (applying for 2nd year in 2026):
- At least 60% in Financial Accounting.
- At least 60% in Matric Mathematics and English.
- Entering 2nd year of a CA-stream qualification in 2026.
2nd-year students (applying for 3rd year in 2026):
- At least 60% in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.
- Entering 3rd year of a CA-stream qualification in 2026.
Final-year students (postgraduate 2026):
- At least 55% in all core modules.
- Accepted into the CTA programme for 2026.
